Hi,

rename the part on line 72 (or 73) that have a long file name (long filename= more than 8 character), delete parts00.lst and restart the program.
this should solve.
Yes, each time you add new parts, you need to delete parts00.lst or use the builtin function in tools menu.

Deleting the parts00.lst file caused a 2 minute delay, but resulted in the same problem reoccurring.

Line 72 in my parts00.lst read:

ARROW_75.DAT  Arrow_75

The parts00.lst file is too big to attach so I'll send it to you by email.

One more thing. The installation created a shortcut on my desktop, but there is no shortcut to start the program in the Program menu (only 'uninstall' and 'website')

Oh, and before I forget... what does the installation do exactly to my installed ldraw parts? If I install new parts do I need to erase parts00.lst again to force the program to recognise new or reinstalled parts?

After a looooooong loading time  :D It appears to work: now I only need to figure out how to build with it.

Yes, I know it takes a bit to load, but it worth the wait (IMPO)  ;) !!

to start building, just select parts by category and move them in the model space with mouse (holding LMB). Add them using <Space> or <Enter>, rotate them with keyboard arrows.
Most bricks will automatic orient according to their connections.
Have a look to help panel for a list of available commands.

The most important new feature is MirrorBuilding allowing you to build symmetric models in half time.

Supongo que se trata de un programa de creación de LEGOs, ¿me equivoco? ¿Es el que soléis usar o preferís otros? Lo que más me fastidia de estos programas es que no están disponibles todas las piezas existentes (véase como ejemplo básico el "LEGO Designer" de la página oficial de LEGO), y en segundo lugar que no están en todos los colores :(

yo uso el conjunto de herramientas LDRaw y especifiamente el editor MLCad. De ese modo dispongo de practicamebte todas las piezas y todos los colores. Busca por "tutorial ldraw" en el foro ;)
