Another suggestion: would it be possible to create the help file is such a way I can see it and at the same time work with the program? Currently the I need to close the help file before I can use the model again.

Edit: I've just remembered there is a PDF help file. Even so, maybe you could include that file as a typical windows help file that can be opened pressing F1
Also, for those who like to print the PDF, please consider including page numbers.

If as help file you intend the help window appearing when pressing F1 key, then you can copy and paste its contents by simply pressing ALT-Stamp to copy to the clipboard and then paste it into Paint accessory of MS Windows. Then simply print the image and you are done!

If you want to show .pdf file while working, just reduce either SR3D or AcroReader window to show both application window.
The interface is not that hard to understand. You need 10 min to get a clue and a pair of hours (the time to experience the exercise in the manual) to deeply learn its functionality.

new SR 3D Builder 0.4.5.7 has been just release and is online as always on

I recommend to carefully read the history tab for a list of changes and added functionality, and watch video on my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGd2eMjMXHg.

One note about image quality: I don't know why, but taking image model using internal DirectX routines result in poor image quality.
If you need better image the best practice is to take a screen shot with ALT-Stamp key combination (standard and native in any MS Windows) and then go editing them with any picture viewer/maker software. The Windows Paint is good enough to paste the screen shot and crop undesired parts.

Now, tomorrow Dec 24, will be the last day I'm online.
I will be back on Jan 7, 2010 and 'till there I will not read or answer messages or email, so be patient for any problems.
Better to save a copy of the previous version executable.

I apologize for continue new messages, but I had to quick release the new version of the application in order to fix a huge bug preventing about 200 or more parts from being displayed in the toolbox.

So here we are with version 0.5.0.1.
The good news, for technic builders, is the RACK SUPPORT (still partial) for steering and for linear movement (not combined with hinges)

I really need to find the time to start working with this great tool and get some first hand experience with it... but I have a very long to-do list .(

You won't believe.
Unlike any other 3D animation suites  (for LEGO or for professional use) you need not to define anything!! Just position the parts in the model and the application will recognize the available animations.

Be patient for the new version! Still need some tests!!!!!

A diferencia de cualquier otra animación 3D suites (para LEGO o para uso profesional) no es necesario definir nada!! Simplemente coloque las piezas en el modelo y la aplicación reconocerá las animaciones disponibles.

Sé paciente, pues la nueva versión! ¿Necesita algunas pruebas !!!!!

Hi,
No comment at all? I did not expect honorifics, but just a thanks  :_(

Anyway on the site there is a new version with just some small fixes to remove annoying interference between the 3arrowed axles, now called Displacement Caddy (D-Caddy) and other interface functionality.
Also added a quick color selection: read history tab on website for details and news.

If anyone has a more adequate name for that object (the 3 axle with the arrows around and the center) please let me know...
